Last night the Rondo-less Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks, 102-96. The game featured a classic battle of small forwards, with future hall-of-famers Paul Pierce and Carmelo Anthony facing each other. There were chippy moments to the game, and even Spike Lee was seen visibly antagonizing Paul Pierce.
Madison Square Garden has recently gone under major renovations, one in particular that has structured the home and away tunnels on the opposite side of their respective benches. Therefore, players are forced to walk across the court after the end of each game to exit their tunnel.
At the end of the last night’s game, Carmelo Anthony went directly through the Celtics tunnel, and then was caught on video waiting for Kevin Garnett just outside the Celtics team bus. He was restrained by security guards and police as Celtics players boarded their bus.
