You would think people would learn to take any comments Charles Barkley makes with a grain of salt by now. He’s wrong half the time anyway.
Barkley, who is an analyst on TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” has said on many occasions that he doesn’t see the Los Angeles Clippers as true title contenders because they have “no toughness.”
Well, Los Angeles Clippers forward Caron Butler, didn’t take too kindly to the Hall of Famer’s comments but understands that it’s a part of Barkley’s shtick to say outrageous things according to the Jim Rome Show.
“To hear that, that was a slap in the face,” said Butler.
“It was shock television,” said Butler. “Everybody is looking for the shock television and he (Barkley) said that was something on his mind and on his heart.”
The Clippers attained their first division title this season while amassing 56 wins and yet, a lot of pundits don’t quite buy into the possibility that they can be title contenders. If they’re able to get past the very formid

This is a rematch of last year’s series between the Clippers and the Grizzlies. In Game 1, the Grizzlies were all over the Clippers until LA came back from 26 points to win the game. It was a miraculous comeback. The Clipps ended up taking the series in seven games. This year, the Grizzlies look for revenge.

Last season when the Los Angeles Clippers took on the Memphis Grizzlies, Chauncey Billups was suited up on the bench due to a torn ACL. After missing 60 games this season due to several different injuries, Billups appears to be ready to go for the Clippers' postseason opener.“I’m just excited to be out there and not have to watch, sitting in a suit,” Billups said after...

LOS ANGELES The Grizzlies lost the opener of their first-round playoff series to the Clippers 112-91 Saturday night. These three talking points stood out in the aftermath:
1. Rebounding is no small thing
The Grizzlies were one of the better rebounding teams in the NBA this season, especially on the offensive boards. But they were pounded relentlessly by the Clippers, who held...

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Chris Paul led seven players in double figures with 23 points, Eric Bledsoe had 15 and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 112-91 on Saturday while getting just one dunk in their playoff opener.

The Los Angeles Clippers played above the rim, not enough to live up to their Lob City moniker but enough to beat Memphis at its own rebounding game.

The Clippers and the Grizzlies have a violent recent history. They don't like each other much and last years playoffs were a perfect indication we are going to enjoy some of that same bad blood this year. All the Lob-City crap will be put on hold. Well maybe not on hold but this will not be a run and gun shoot out. High flying high jinx will...
In a season of firsts for their franchise, the Los Angeles Clippers are opening the playoffs with a familiar foe.
Only this time, they own home-court advantage against the Memphis Grizzlies. Both teams finished the regular season with identical 56-26 records and tied for fourth in the Western Conference.
Game 1 is Saturday night at Staples Center.
A year ago, the Clippers opened...
Jay Z may have sold his minority interest in the Nets but he told you in “Open Letter” that he was keeping the courtside seats. Hov was in the building for the first playoff game of the Brooklyn Nets era. Of course Jay had to stunt a little fashion realness for the masses, rocking a black Rich Kids “HOOLIGANS” sweatshirt and black jeans. His look was finished off with a Just...
We all know that NESN Boston Red Sox play-by-play announcer Don Orsillo carries a ton of extra stuff around in his "man bag".
Well apparently mustard wasn't one of those things he had because it turns out he stole some from the Indians cafeteria.
It was brought to my attention Thursday afternoon that some people’s opinion in the NBA aren’t very educated. This is a tweet from ESPN’s Chris Palmer:
Best Players Who’ve Never Won Anything: 1. Melo 2. A.I. 3. Barkley 4. Stockton
— chris palmer (@ESPNChrisPalmer) April 18, 2013
Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but are Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson the...
