Sometimes you think you know something. And then someone really smart says something that challenges what you think you know, and it makes you look at the subject from an entirely different point of view. And when the context changes, you can sometimes be surprised at what you learn.
I love the WFNY Podcasts that Craig is doing, and by far my two favorite episodes have been the two...
Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao needs surgery for a torn leg muscle and could be sidelined two more months.
Varejao was the NBA's leading rebounder when he injured his knee in a Dec. 18 game against Toronto. Team doctors believed it was only bruised, but when his symptoms persisted, further tests were done and revealed the tear. Varejao will have surgery on Thursday and the...

Both the Brooklyn Nets and Oklahoma City Thunder are among the teams that may be interested, league sources said.

“I’m still trying to be very optimistic that he’ll be able to play, I just don’t know when,” Scott said. “I hope I’m not talking like it’s long term or for the season, I’m still optimistic he’ll be able to play this year until the doctors tell me something different.”
Scott didn’t provide many more details about the injury, but agreed that after missing 10...
It’s tough to imagine the pure carnage that would be the fallout of a Cavaliers-Bulls contest with a healthy Derrick Rose leading the charge. With the former MVP still rehabilitating from ACL surgery, his teammates continue to treat the Cavs as five rag dolls with which they have the fortune of toying for 48 minutes per contest.
Like a game of cat-and-mouse where the feline allows...
Instant analysis: I’m sick and tired of watching the Cavaliers get blown out by the Bulls without Derrick Rose.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Hornets are two of the worst teams in the NBA, but over the weekend both of their stars hit game winning shots.
First it was Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving turn. With the game against Charlotte tied at 104 there was no question who would be taking the last shot. He beat his defender off the dribble and stepped back and nailed the game winning...
The Cavaliers just cannot beat the Bulls these days. The Cavs have lost 10 straight against their Central Division opponents, and the main reason being that over the past two years (and this one), the Bulls have been a matchup nightmare. Bulls big men Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer are two of the biggest reasons why, with those two offsetting Anderson Varejao. Those two...
