The Cleveland Cavaliers have shut big man Tyler Zeller down for the remainder of summer league due to a finger injury, according to Jason Lloyd of The Akron Beacon Journal.Zeller recently underwent a procedure in which he received two stitches on the tip of his left ring finger. The operation was required after Zeller injured his finger while going up to try and block a dunk in Thursday’s summer league victory over the San Antonio Spurs. If it was the regular season, Zeller said he could play through the injury, but considering the plan was already to have him sit through some of the final summer league contests the Cavaliers elected to shut him down for good. While Zeller won’t participate in the remainder of the summer league, it reportedly won’t impact his status for next week’s USA Basketball minicamp.Follow @hoopsinjurynews
