Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson is in Boston getting tests on his injured neck. Gibson did not play in Sunday's comeback win over the Celtics and did not return to Cleveland with the Cavs. A team spokesman said Gibson is at Beth Israel Hospital getting tested. The Cavs do not know when Gibson will return. Gibson said his neck began hurting during Friday night's game against New Jersey. Also, Cavs starting guard Anthony Parker did not practice Monday because of a sore lower back. Parker played just 14 minutes against the Celtics. Cavs coach Byron Scott said Gibson and Parker will both miss Tuesday's home game against the Celtics. Scott said Parker was grimacing in pain during Sunday's game and asked to be taken out. Parker is averaging 6 points and 23 minutes.

Do the Cavaliers have any keepers beyond their two rookies?

I’ve seen this go through the Twitterverse and it has come up among conversations with other Cavalier fans in person. There is a strong belief among many that the Cavaliers will, in as little as two years time, have 13 new players on the roster, with only Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson remaining. While the Cavs certainly don’t have another dynamic core player emerging...

Irving coming up big for Cavaliers

Cavaliers rookie guard Kyrie Irving won't let the first big moment of his NBA career go to his head. Irving made a layup with 2.6 seconds left on Sunday in Boston as the Cavaliers scored the game's final 12 points in an 88-87 win. Kyrie Irving Hits 1st Game Winning Shot Of The Kyrie Irving Era, Cavs Beat C's 88-87

With one minute to go in the first half on Sunday, as the TD Garden's "Noise Meter" urged Boston's faithful to their feet, Kyrie Irving calmly fired a laser from the top of the key through the Celtics defense. That pass found Anderson Varjeao standing wide open underneath the rim, who then regained a one point lead for his Cavaliers, 42-41. After an ensuing basket...

Video: DeSagana Diop Airballs Free Throw

Former Cleveland Cavaliers lottery selection DeSagana Diop airballed a free throw last night. It was fairly epic. The best part may be that his second attempt went glass. Over 10 NBA seasons after being selected eighth overall in 2001, Diop has averaged 2.0 points per contest. The 7-footer is making $6.5 million this year. (h/t to Brian Boesch)
