I'd have to imagine that just about anything and everybody is in play right about now as far as organizational moves are concerned across the NBA. Chris Paul's name is coming up in trade talks, Rudy Gay, Rajon Rondo, Monta Ellis, and even Brian Scalabrine. Okay maybe not Brian Scalabrine's.According to a report yesterday though, Baron Davis' name has also surfaced as well in recent weeks. This from ESPN.com:"Sources told ESPN.com that the Cavs have tried to engage teams in Davis trade talks in recent weeks, while coach Byron Scott privately clings to the hope that the Cavs keep Davis to move him to 2-guard and put him in the same backcourt as Irving."
Baron Davis is owed $13.9 million this season and at least $12.25 of his $14.8 million salary in the season after that too. There's been talk of the Amnesty Clause being used on him, but I don't expect that to happen. Depending on what was offered in return, I'm sure the Cavaliers would be w...

Editor's note: The 2011-12 NBA season was supposed to tip off Nov. 1. With no games to watch, NESN.com will help fill the void by posting a dunk video every day until the lockout ends. Both Baron Davis and Jermaine O'Neal are well past their primes at this point in their career, but in 2004, Davis and O'Neal were key players on their respective teams. In a game against...
The decision as to whether the veteran guard is a Cavalier on the regular season's opening night is for now largely in the hands of Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant.
"Why on Earth would we release our best player? Is our roster so star-studded to have that luxury? Do we have tons of young talent not being utilized? Boobie and Sessions are not the answers. They proved that last year. So who's going to show Irving the ropes? Davis has grown up a lot and is finally a true leader. I can't say that for any other player on the Cavs roster...
Should the Cavaliers use the new amnesty clause and get rid of Baron Davis' contract?
Matt Barnes was in the Lakers practice facility on Friday to get his physical for the upcoming season. He said his knee is at about 96% and he’s ready to go! Of course he was asked about rumors of two of his former teammates, Baron Davis and Dwight Howard coming to play with the Lake show:
Question: There’s one rumor out there involving a furmor teammate of yours, Dwight...
With all due respect to Baron Davis, Kyrie Irving wouldn’t mind taking over the Cleveland Cavaliers’ starting point guard job in training camp.
The Cavs have the option of using their amnesty clause on Davis to waive him and remove the $28.7 million he’s owed the next two seasons from the team’s salary for cap and [...]
Plain Dealer Cavs writer says team is in rebuilding mode and doesn't need the cap space.
Remember back a long time ago, before all this lockout hoopla when we used to discuss things like the Cleveland Cavaliers’ $14.5 million trade exception they earned in the LeBron James trade?
I know, it’s hard to remember that far back, but it’s time to start thinking trade exception again. I know what you’re thinking, “Didn’t that trade exception expire when the lockout...
