Notes and Observations: The Cavs will be without starting shooting guard Anthony Parker, who is day-to-day with lower back soreness. Gibson will start in his place and be charged with the task of trying to handle Ellis, sixth in the league in scoring (23.6 ppg). Meanwhile, Warriors starting guard Stephen Curry has missed time with an ankle sprain. He did not participate in shootaround, but a team source said he could still play tonight. Tonight is the Cavs fourth home game of the season. They have played fewer home games than anyone in the league. Irving is averaging 22.6 points on 55 percent shooting, and 5.2 assists, over the past five games. Also of note is the fact Casspi is averaging 12.5 points in the past two. Backup Warriors guard Nate Robinson has been on a tear, having scored at least 10 points in five straight games, including 24 in a win over Miami. The Warriors, one of the leagues most ignored franchises, are celebrating their 50th season. Former NBA point guard and TV analyst Mark Jackson is in his first year coaching at any level. C Kwame Brown (torn pectoral) is out for the Warriors.
