Despite not having star guard Derrick Rose for most of the season, the Chicago Bulls are tops in the Central Division and look to be a force in the playoffs. Some of the credit for the Bulls' success this season goes to Carlos Boozer who has stayed injury-free and is averaging 15.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and shooting 47% from the field in 31.2 points per game.  And against the Bobcats, Boozer showed why he is a vital cog in the Bulls' machine this season. Late in the game against Charlotte, and with the game tight, Boozer cut to the paint, got the pass of the pick-and-roll and proceeded to crush the rim and embarrass the Bobcats. [follow]

POTD 1/28/13: Carlos Boozer on Bismack Biyombo

With a couple of exceptional one-handed jams thrown down by Harrison Barnes and Carlos Boozer, there was yet another tough call to be made today.  I decided to put this one to a vote, and my friends from the InsideHoops forums chose Boozer by an 8-2 tally.  I’m pretty surprised that the polling didn’t turn up a tighter race, but I don’t necessarily disagree with the result...

Is Ray Lewis’ Hairline Sprayed on? (Photos)

Reminiscent of Carlos Boozer’s sprayed on hairline of last year, Ray Lewis has opted for a similar solution to fight the battle against Father time. A hilarious story which was picked up from Larry Brown Sports focused on the utter ‘perfection’ that was Lewis’ hairline as he addressed the media on Monday. Let us remember that Lewis is 37 going on 38, so this is not a knock...
DRUNK WITH DUNK

Announcer screams 'Get on the Booze cruise!'

The Chicago Bulls have surprised quite a few people this season.  They're 27-17 right now, and they've done it without their best player Derrick Rose.  Carlos Boozer has been one of the main guys to step up in his absence averaging 15.8 points and 9.7 rebounds.  Boozer showed last night against the Charlotte Bobcats that he can still jump with the young bucks.  He came...

Bulls' Derrick Rose cleared for full-contact practice

The final hurdle is within sight.  All Derrick Rose has to do is prove he can leap over it.  The Chicago Bulls' superstar has been cleared for full-contact practice.  This should be the last step in his recovery meaning he could be cleared to play soon.  An expectation of an early February return is not unreasonable.According to Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago, the only thing...

Dommermuth: The Bulls Are Contenders w/ Derrick Rose

Don’t look now, but the Chicago Bulls victory over the Charlotte Bobcats Monday makes them the Eastern Conference’s Central division leader. That’s right, the same team that just needs to “tread water” until superstar point guard Derrick Rose can return from a torn ACL suffered last season in the first round of the playoffs; they [...]The post Dommermuth: The Bulls Are...

Although not good enough to overcome Miami, a healthy Derrick Rose and the Bulls will make the Heat sweat in May

Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said Wednesday that shelved superstar Derrick Rose has begun partaking in full contact practices while recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee. The 24-year-old Rose, a three-time NBA All-Star who became the youngest player ever to earn the Most Valuable Player award in 2011, suffered the severe injury on April 28 during Game 1 of the 2012...

Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Wednesday that Derrick Rose is now taking “full contact” and the only thing left in his return from ACL surgery is putting in more time and then getting acclimated to a game situation. “He’s full contact, yeah,” Thibodeau said before Wednesday’s morning shoot-around as the Bulls prepared to face the Milwaukee Bucks. “He can...
