The NBA preseason allows teams to implement new offensive and defensive sets, gives new teammates time to mesh with the squad and lets players shake off the rust before the regular season kicks off.
And this wasn't more apparent for Clippers' Byron Mullens versus the Suns in preseason action.
Either Mullens is really rusty when it comes to basic basketball passing or he really thought one of his new teammates was up in the stands, but whatever the reason was, he should make sure he has his passing skills ready to go for the new season.
Check out Byron with the pass to a fan in the stands.

The Clippers have become a legit threat to win the division and really the main reason was the addition of coach Doc Rivers, who arrived from Boston in June and immediately convinced free agent Chris Paul to re-sign. The Clippers are sure putting a lot of eggs into one 6-foot-11, 250-pound basket.
In addition to touting center DeAndre Jordan as a member of the Clippers’ new “Big Three” along with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, the team plans to put Jordan on the cover of its media guide, according to The Los Angeles Times. Jordan’s inclusion on the cover with Griffin and Paul is a bold...
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul ended Thursday's practice session by nonchalantly sinking a half-court shot, hitting nothing but net.
Looks like Chris Paul is ready for the NBA season to start.
