'Celtics should be scared!' Skip Bayless gets LAUGHED AT to his face by Paul Pierce for wild take
Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

Skip Bayless had a lot to say about the Boston Celtics after their devastating 118-94 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the TD Garden last night while on set on the Undisputed Show. Despite the supposed seriousness in his words, Celtics legend Paul Pierce couldn’t help but laugh at his host.

The veteran TV analyst warned that Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics should be scared after the NBA title favorites against the odds got whooped by the Cavs on their home turf, setting up a fierce game three and four at the Cavs’ turf. Paul Pierce for some reason found what Skip Bayless said amusing, and burst into fits of laughter.

Here's what you should all be concerned. You should be scared. Skip Bayless said

However, while the C’s remain the outright favorites, losing on their home court against a team they were expected to beat has opened the door to possibilities that the Cavs can pull an upset. As Skip Bayless said further, the Cavs aren’t suffering what the Miami Heat suffered when they had key players out injured

The Cleveland Cavaliers were able to tie the series 1-1 after an impressive outing from star forward Donovan Mitchell, who ended the night with an impressive 29 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists, and assisted by Caris LeVert who came up with 21 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Furthermore, the C’s had Jayson Tatum back on form as he ended the night with 25 points, seven rebounds, and six assists but just wasn’t enough to see them through.

Lil Wayne’s bold statement after the Boston Celtics fall to the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Boston Celtics shockingly lost Game 2 of their playoff series against Eastern Conference rivals, the Cleveland Cavaliers, which has become a concerning defeat given their 37-4 home record in the regular season. This led popular rap artist Lil Wayne to suggest on Skip Bayless’ Undisputed that the Celtics needed this loss to regain momentum, as they have historically followed successful stretches with losses.

I think they needed this loss, actually. That's how their whole season went. They go for a nice little stretch, like a week or two stretch and then they lose, and gotta get kicked up. Lil Wayne said

The C’s finished the regular season as the top seed in the Eastern Conference as well as the best team in the league with a 64-18 record and defeated the Miami Heat in five games in the first round. Despite reaching the Eastern Conference Finals five times in seven years, they haven’t been able to win a championship since 2008 and are the favorites this year.

However, the Cavaliers pose a tough challenge with Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland in their backcourt and also have significant depth without any major absentees. Game 3 is on Saturday in Cleveland, with the winner advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals to face the Knicks or Pacers.
