CANTON, Ohio -- The Canton Charge have acquired forward Steve Weingarten from the Delaware 87ers for forward Michael Lee and guard Bo Spencer, team officials announced Monday. Spencer was the Charge's first of two first-round draft picks (No. 13 overall) in November. The Charge (16-9) are the official NBA D-League affiliate of the Cavaliers and in first place in the East Division. Weingertan played in 21 games with the 87ers, compiling averages of 8.5 points and 3.7 rebounds. He has also played professionally Austrailia. Spencer played in 25 games (two starts) for the Charge, compiling averages of 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 24 minutes per game. Lee played in 23 games and averaged 5.1 points. The Charge return to action Friday vs. the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at the Canton Memorial Civic Center. The night has been dubbed "Cavs Night," and will feature appearances from Cavs legends.
