I don’t know. I’ll be the first to tell you, I don’t know. Whether the Bobcats are good, bad, lucky, suckering teams, winning close ones early in the year only to lose them later, a fluke or on to something real and sustainable. I don’t know. All those adjectives or suspicions have definite truths to [...]
ATLANTA When Ben Gordon has a team on the ropes, he rarely pulls a fourth-quarter punch. On Wednesday night, the Hawks were just fortunate the bell rang before one of the NBAs streakiest scorers could deliver the knockout. Atlanta pulled out a 94-91 victory, but Gordon and his Charlotte Bobcats teammates sure went down swinging.
I just tried to be aggressive and force the issue...
The good folks from Bleacher Report did some digging and found a similarity between the Bobcats depressing loss last night and a game that his airness played in 1990. The Bobcats finished their game against the Thunder with 69 points tonight on shooting 23-79. In 1990, their now-owner Jordan dropped 69 points on shooting 23-37. That is sad.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Gerald Henderson, Reggie Williams & Byron Mullens of the Charlotte Bobcats ran into comedian Carrot Top on Tuesday in Atlanta. Wonder if he had any jokes about last night’s game?
“We kind of know that OKC is a test for us, we failed it miserably,” coach Dunlap said after the Bobcats were beaten by a number so huge that it needed to be written in scientific notation. He’s right about Charlotte failing miserably. This was their first test against a traditional powerhouse, and it went [...]
Perhaps I was hyping up this solid start to the season for the Bobcats a bit too much. Then again, maybe we can chalk Charlotte’s latest loss up to a poor shooting night and the fact that they were facing one of the top teams in the entire league. Or maybe we should take Monday [...]
CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- Gerald Henderson chuckled when asked, but only because of the absurd reality of the question.
Yes, he said, before pausing for a second. Its like that. Its a different atmosphere. But theres no doubt we have some of that spirit.
The spirit Henderson acknowledged is one he knew all too well playing three seasons at Duke. But it isnt because of regular home experiences...
Come on back down Bobcats fans. We got some stuff to talk about.
Hello Bobcats fans. Before everyone blows last night’s loss completely out of proportion, I feel that I need to share a few things with everyone. This is done to keep everyone, including myself, calm. We have to be realistic about this team. They are better than last year. Make no mistake about it...
There are blowouts, and then there are routs. And then there are lambastes. And then there are trounces. And then there are clobberings. Also thrashings. Whichever one of those you find to be most devastating, that's what the Thunder did to the Bobcats last night. As you can see if the photo above, OKC led by 54 at one point in the third quarter. 54!
This game ended up at...
So, how does a team come back from a 45-point beat down earlier in the week? Let me remind, again, that the team dishing out that beat down was an NBA Finals team. Unlike last season’s Bobcats, they come back to lose by only 3 points in the Hawks house. The final score was 94-91. It was a great game to see, even though I was stuck on the phone for most of the second half...
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Bobcats each hit 12 3-point shots Wednesday, but a missed 3-point attempt decided the game. Byron Mullens' last-second shot hit the back iron, and the Hawks hung on for a 94-91 win. "That was a really tough win for us," Hawks coach Larry Drew said. "I thought they were getting after us more than we were getting after...
Al Horford scored 17 points and hit two clinching free throws to help the Atlanta Hawks win their sixth straight game with a 94-91 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night.
Josh Smith and Lou Williams also had 17 points apiece for the Hawks.
Ben Gordon finished with 26 points and Ramon Sessions had 18 to lead Charlotte, which has lost two straight and three of four...
REACTION: OKC: 114 / BOBCATS: 69
-The Thunder handed Charlotte a 45-point loss at the Chesapeake Arena Monday in Oklahoma City. OKC led by 54 at one point in the second half thanks to six players scoring in double-digits including a combined 32 points from Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
-Charlotte opened with Jeff Taylor guarding [...]
While the Charlotte Bobcats have shown significant improvement this season, there weren't many positives to take away from their last game.
Things aren't about to get much easier with another matchup against the surging Atlanta Hawks up next.
The Bobcats conclude a three-game trek looking to bounce back from their worst loss in franchise history Wednesday night against...
