T-Mac for only the 2nd time in his career and first time with an actual jersey on reached the 2nd round of the playoffs. Granted, he only played five minutes for the Spurs against the Lakers, but it was a start. McGrady played a full season over in China and they would like to have him back, if he can’t secure a full-time gig in the NBA next year. Project Spurs has the details. Quingado GM Shun Tin commented on McGrady returning to the NBA this season. We hope T-Mac is playing well elsewhere and can get a championship. It’s is a very good thing, and we would like to see it. (hupu.com) If T-Mac can’t find a suitable contract next season in the NBA, I think he will be back to CBA. He will still be our first choice, we are confident that we can get him to sign back. McGrady probably will consider it, because it is better money in China with a shorter season.

Baynes' Game 4 success a testament to Pop's system

When the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, it shouldn't have been a surprise if you saw Aron Baynes start in place of injured center Tiago Splitter. The team has always depended on their superstars, mainly Tim Duncan throughout every championship, to lead the way, but it's the system that Gregg Popovich established that made it possible. When Baynes made...

Spurs patiently await opponent for 2nd round

Tony Parker on Pacers/Hawks Playoff Series: “I Turned that off”

I think everyone outside of Indiana and Atlanta (well maybe not Atlanta) can agree that they can find about a million better things to do besides watching the playoff series between the Pacers and the Hawks. It’s the least talked about series simply because both teams lack a box office type player and they play hideous basketball. The series is so bad that Inside the NBA literally...

Metta World Peace thinks Clippers will win NBA title

Metta World Peace ... Lakers forward, medical marvel, NBA analyst? Two days after the Lakers were swept out of the playoffs by the San Antonio Spurs, MWP took to Twitter and discussed his thoughts on the remaining teams chasing a title. Long wait may help or rust Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs closed out their series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. This earns the team more than a week long rest until their opponent is decided between the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors. This long rest may be beneficial for the Spurs to rest up nagging injuries like Tony Parker's ankle, neck, and whatever else is ailing him. This will...

Spurs get a breather following sweep of Lakers

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By RAUL DOMINGUEZ Associated Press The San Antonio Spurs take a systematic approach under Gregg Popovich.
