Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh has taken himself out of consideration for the 2012 USA Olympic basketball team.
Bosh will miss the Olympics to rest and rehab his abdominal injury he sustained in the Heat's first game of the second-round series against the Indiana Pacers.
Bosh is the second Heat member to pull out of the London 2012 Olympic games due to injury. Dwyane Wade will not participate because of an upcoming knee surgery.
Bosh averaged 9.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game as a member of the 2008 gold-medal winning team at the Beijing games.
Players still in contention to make the 2012 team are as follows:
Guards: Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Eric Gordon.
Forwards: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Andre Iguodala, Lamar Odom, Anthony Davis, Rudy Gay, Kevin Love.
Center: Tyson Chandler.
