Clippers say they’ll protect Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin said he’s “sick” of the hard fouls he’s been taking. Notably, there was Jason Smith’s leveling hit on Griffin. More recently, Robin Lopez was ejected Thursday for a hard shot he delivered on Griffin. There’s also a bunch more examples. The constant beating Griffin’s been getting has lead some in the national media to criticize the Clippers for not protecting...
SEAT OF HIS PANTS

CP3 throws no-look pass from the ground

Here’s another example why Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul is annually one of the league leaders in assists: CP3 managing to see Eric Bledsoe after the steal and fighting for possession of the basketball is unbelievable. Paul is a big reason why the Clippers are currently in contention for the 4th seed in the [...]

Clippers will protect Griffin

The Los Angeles Clippers have taken a lot of heat for not protecting their superstar, Blake Griffin. I have disagreed with the criticism. This isn't the '90s anymore where you can just go up and clock a guy because he hit your teammate and get away with just a slap on the wrist. There are much bigger fines now and suspensions that can cost your team in the long run. Retaliation...

Griffin's season-high not enough in Clips' loss

ATLANTA (AP) -- Joe Johnson scored 28 points, including a wild 3-pointer in the final minute, and the Atlanta Hawks held on for a 109-102 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, moving a step closer to wrapping up home-court in the first round of the playoffs. Blake Griffin scored a season-high 36 points, while Chris Paul added 34 in a back-and-forth game that was...

Mess with Blake, DeAndre will be messing with you

It’s no surprise that players go hard after Blake Griffin, as he’s an easy, tangible target for players around the league; much of it has to do with his theatrics. However, the Clippers aren’t going to sit down and take it any longer. They plan on protecting the gingered dunker at any costs. DeAndre Jordan explains: [...]

Clippers 107, Hornets 98

Foye scored 24 points, and Blake Griffin had 21 points...

Monty Williams calls out Clippers, Griffin for "flopping and nonsense"

Someone go check on Jeff Van Gundy to make sure he did not have a heart attack on Sunday night after watching Reggie Evans' horrible flop performance. A week after Van Gundy ranted on national television claiming the NBA condones flopping across the league, Evans essentially made a case for why the league office needs to address the issue before it damages the...

The Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers meet Tuesday night at Philips Arena, and they are in similar positions of closing in on home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
