NEW ORLEANS, March 23—It was a UGLY night down in New Orleans. When I say ugly I mean bowling shoe ugly. It was so ugly I wouldn’t call what happened here a basketball game, I would call it a “wrasslin” match.

In his first game back since his exodus to Los Angeles, Chris Paul was expected to come through and do what LeBron James did to the Cavaliers when he showed his face back in town last year. Nope.

Jason Smith Gets An Odd Standing Ovation After Knocking Blake Griffin The F**k Out With A Football Style Hit

Wow not going to lie, I expected more out the Hornet fans. I know this happened a few days ago, but I just can't get over the crowd's reaction while Blake is gasping for air. How can you cheer on Jason Smith after he lowered his shoulder and drilled Blake Griffin with a Ray Lewis style hit causing him to crash on the court? The fans didn't even wait for Blake to rise...

Jason Smith with the Hip Check of Blake Griffin

Whomever said basketball isn't a contact sport is absolutely insane.Heck, every once in a while, you see hits...or fouls that would make hockey players blush. This is one of those. Last night, New Orleans Hornet forward Jason Smith was bound and determined to not let Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers do what he does best on the fastbreak...dunk the ball. The result is...well...shall...

Jason Smith makes a name for himself

I have nothing wrong with this at all.  I know Clipper fans are calling for a beheading but let's be real, this was a great way to prevent another Blake Griffin highlight.  The Hornets won the game, Jason Smith prevented a momentum swing and instead had Blake doing his best broadway display of acting by rolling around like that.  Come on man, be a man, play tough.  If...

Jason Smith Suspended Two Games By NBA For Flagrant Foul On Blake Griffin (Video)

It would appear that some NBA players have finally gotten tired of Blake Griffin's flashy dunks and celebrations. Jason Smith, a member of the New Orleans Hornets, took out some frustration on Griffin on Thursday night. As the Clippers were on a fastbreak, Smith raced to catch Griffin and body-checked him to the ground. It was obvious that the hit was illegal and totally unnecessary...

BLAKE BOUNTY! GRIFFIN GETS TAKEN OUT BY HORNETS JASON SMITH!!

Apparently in New Orleans, the Hornets have grabbed the bounty program baton from the football Saints. On Thursday, Hornets forward JASON SMITH targeted Clippers high-flyer BLAKE GRIFFIN for a hard body check during a fourth quarter fastbreak… Smith showed no remorse in leveling Griffin, who’s been known to show no remorse on opponents’ goal with his aerial escapades. Jason Smith tried to take out Blake Griffin last night

I’m starting to get the feeling that players around the NBA are getting a little tired of seeing Blake Griffin catching alleys and doing powerful dunks. One of those players seems to be New Orleans Hornets’ Jason Smith since he decided to take out Griffin last night on a fast break.Check out the video and see for yourself.

Hornets' Smith suspended, won't play against Spurs

By now you probably seen the hit New Orleans Hornets' Jason Smith gave Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin last night as Griffin was running to the rim. If you haven't, check it out. Well the NBA came down on Smith and has suspended him two games without pay for his Flagrant Foul 2 on Griffin last night. This means Smith won't play against the San Antonio...
