The Clippers got what they needed this offseason. They changed the culture around the team and added the game’s best point guard to pair with the league’s most exciting big man. With their new additions, they seemingly became a contender overnight. But after playing the first two games of the season, it has become painfully obvious that the Clippers are still missing something. Although the roster has a few small holes (Brian Cook playing major minutes is never advised), what the Clippers really need now can’t be acquired -- which is rather unfortunate, because San Antonio certainly has an abundance of it.

(Lockout) Season Preview: Los Angeles Clippers

One small leap over a car for Blake Griffin. One giant step for the Clippers. The fortune for the other team in L.A. appeared to turn for the better, thanks to Griffin's monster "rookie" season. Now, thanks to an assist from David Stern, CP3 is in town, suddenly making the Clippers a serious contender. Few would argue that the Clippers have a serious shot at ending...

Chris Paul Says It's 'No Big Deal' On Who Plays Point Guard But It Probably Is

The tenants of "Lob City"were not built upon the idea of Chauncey Billups hoisting nineteen shots per game and Chris Paul playing shooting guard. As soon as Chris Paul was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, joining Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Caron Butler and Chauncey Billups, the hype machine got going. Reminiscent of the hype surrounding the Heat before last season, many NBA pundits were putting the Clippers in the Western Conference Finals and dubbing them the new super team before the team even got in the gym together...

San Antonio Spurs 115, Los Angeles Clippers 90

The Clippers were a mess last night as they only shot 39.2% from the floor while allowing the Spurs to shoot 56.3% from the floor.  The Clippers were also outrebounded 43-30 and they were down 96-71 after the first three quarters.  Blake Griffin led the way for the Clippers last night with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists.  Caron Butler (12 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist),...

Clippers-Spurs Preview

The new-look Los Angeles Clippers acknowledged after their season opener that it will take some time for them to develop chemistry and reach their potential. Their progress will be put to the test early with a trip to San Antonio, where the Clippers haven't won in nearly a decade.
