Forward Blake Griffin's streak of 197 consecutive starts ended Monday night. The Los Angeles Clippers announced his late scratch from the lineup before a game against the Wizards in Washington because of a left hamstring strain. Griffin played Sunday and had 20 points and 11 rebounds in the Clippers' 106-104 loss to Boston. Griffin joined a Clippers injury list that includes point guard Chris Paul, who had missed the past eight games with a knee injury. He sat out again Monday night. The news also comes amid reports that the Clippers are trying to land forward Kevin Garnett in a trade with the Celtics for swingman Caron Butler and guard Eric Bledsoe. Griffin is averaging 18.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 49 games this season.
