The “Los Angeles Times” reported Wednesday, that Los Angeles Clippers Team Owner Donald Sterling’s son Scott was found dead in his Malibu apartment late Tuesday night. Although authorities are waiting on autopsy and toxicology reports; it seems that the 31-year-old man died of a drug overdose. According to the report, he had not been seen by friends or family members for a few days, before the Sheriff’s Department received a call from an unknown caller. The department stated that there was no evidence of any foul play in the death.
The Sterling family and the Clippers have yet to issue a statement about the loss. The younger Sterling had become a controversial figure in the late nineties; as he was arrested for the shooting death of his childhood pal Phillip Scheid, that took place in Beverly Hills in 1999. Sterling, however was never charged with the crime.
