It wasn’t the largest margin of victory of the season in the NBA but it was the most lopsided win for the Pistons in almost five years. Brandon Knight and what looks to be a rejuvenated Charlie Villanueva each had 19 points as the Pistons crushed the Phoenix Suns 117-77 tonight from The Palace. The win marks Detroit’s fourth straight home win and their second consecutive win as the team begins to develop some semblance of balance and chemistry on the floor. Despite the Suns shooting 60 percent from the field in the first quarter, the Pistons benefited from 9 Phoenix turnovers turning that into a 9-2 point advantage. After leading 55-44 at the half the Pistons came out with a high energy level to start the third quarter quickly ballooning their lead to 26 points and eventually 44 in the fourth quarter.
