Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has been playing through a knee injury over the past couple of games. In fact, the MVP finalist was listed as questionable to play heading into their Game 4 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
Doncic has been added to the injury report again for Game 5 on Wednesday but this time around the 25-year-old is also dealing with an illness on top of the sprained right knee.
The good news for Mavs fans is that Doncic will play in Game 5. There’s no denying that he’s pretty banged up right now, but the five-time All-Star has every intention of suiting up for what be a pivotal contest on Tuesday.
Luka did admit, however, that the condition of his knee is anything but ideal at the moment:
Luka Doncic says his sprained right knee is “not great, but it is what it is.” Would he be playing if this was the regular season? “Probably not.”

Dallas supporters will be hoping and praying that their superstar point guard does not aggravate the injury on Wednesday night.
When asked about his illness, Doncic brushed it off and declared that he’s good to go for Game 5:
Doncic also has a cough and has been congested for the last five or six games. “I’m ready for this game. I’m fine.”

Apart from Doncic, the Mavs are also dealing with an injury to sharpshooter Tim Hardaway Jr., who is out with a right ankle sprain.
The Clippers, on the other hand, will still be without Kawhi Leonard as he continues to deal with inflammation in his right knee.
