The Dallas Mavericks released a video today that spoofs Hyundai’s Super Bowl ad for their new 2013 Santa Fe, and it makes no sense. In the original spot for Hyundai, a group of bullies steal a football from a kid when he was tossing it to himself and tell him to “come back when you have a team.” The kid then assembles his seven-man team of ‘super-kids’ and returns to play the bullies. In the Mavericks version, all of the kids’ heads are replaced by Mavericks players’ heads and that’s pretty much all that is different. Why did the Mavericks decide to spoof a commercial for a totally different sport? We’re not too sure. An NBA team promoting playing football doesn’t seem like a good way to get fans excited about the Mavericks? Although, the faces are pretty hilarious, it still doesn’t make any sense. Mavericks Salty at Derek Fisher Signing with Thunder, After “Spending Time With Family” Line

The Mavericks should only be upset with themselves. It isn’t like Fisher hasn’t used the “I want to spend time with my family please cut me” card in the past, only to show up later and sign with a contending team. The Mavericks were duped, but Fisher didn’t do anything illegal, so the Mavs just have to cry a river. Owner Mark Cuban did not reply to multiple emails on Monday...

Vince Carter is the Hardest Working Veteran in the NBA

The Dallas Mavericks are in need of a leader (sorry Dirk; it just ain't happening this season man. Great game against the Lakers, but otherwise....eh). I don't know if Vince Carter really wants to step into that roll for a team that is not accustomed to being on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs. However, if that is going to change and the Mavs are...

Bucks spoil Nowitzki's 20-20 in Mavs' loss

DALLAS What will it take for the Mavericks to get it going? Apparently not even a once-in-a-decade performance by their leader will do it. The Mavericks missed eight of their final nine shots, were outscored 14-4 down the stretch, wasted a manly Dirk Nowitzki effort his first 2020 game in almost 10 years and lost 95-90 to Bucks in Tuesday's home game. "For us to win...

Cuban: Comment on Kobe was hypothetical

DALLAS (AP) -- Mavericks owner Mark Cuban doesn't expect to hear from the league over his suggestion the Los Angeles Lakers could reduce their salary cap tax by dumping Kobe Bryant through the amnesty clause. Cuban said before Dallas' game against the Lakers Sunday he made it clear during a radio interview Friday that he was speaking hypothetically, and he was just trying...

NBA Investigating Mark Cuban’s Amnesty Kobe Comments

Mark Cuban thought he was pretty funny over the weekend, when he suggested that the Lakers should amnesty Kobe Bryant in the off-season to take his $30 million salary off their books. The NBA didn’t find it funny, and CBSSports.com is reporting that the league is investigating those comments. The NBA is debating whether to fine Cuban for saying Friday that the Lakers should consider...

Bill Russell Was Vince Carter Before Vince Carter Was Vince Carter

We all know about how Bill Russell is one of the greatest winners in all of sports with 11 championships during his 13 year career. Those 11 rings ties Henri Richard in the NHL for the most championships won by a single player in any North American sport. We also know how much of an undercover bad ass he was off the court considering the fact that he used to take Wilt Chamberlain...

Kobe Following Win Over Mark Cuban, Mavs: “Amnesty That”

Kobe Bryant may of been just 2-36 from beyond the arc over his last 16 games entering Sunday’s game in Dallas, but when someone makes a questionable remark regarding the Black Mamba, like Mark Cuban’s “amnesty” comment on ESPN radio Friday, those stats go out the window. Kobe shot 4-5 from 3 Sunday afternoon, finishing with 38 points (14 in 4th quarter), 12 rebounds, and...

Mark Cuban Reportedly ‘Agitated’ Derek Fisher Signed With Thunder

After playing in 9 games for the Mavs in December, Derek Fisher is back for the final push of the regular season and a playoff run with the OKC Thunder. The Dallas front office is reportedly ‘agitated’ that the PG did not contact them at all through this process. According to NBA.com: Owner Mark Cuban did not reply to multiple emails on Monday, but one league source said the...

Kobe Bryant Tweets ‘Amnesty THAT’ After 38-Point Performance in Win Over Mark Cuban’s Mavericks

Kobe Bryant might just have had something to prove on Sunday afternoon, when he went off for a game-high 38 points in the Lakers’ 103-99 win over Dallas. After all, it was Mavericks owner Mark Cuban who said earlier in the week that the Lakers’ should use their amnesty clause on the five-time NBA champ. In case Bryant’s 38 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists weren’t...

Report: Mark Cuban Could Be Fined for Comments About Kobe Bryant, Who Now Says Mavs Should Amnesty Dirk Nowitzki

Mark Cuban gets in trouble for saying all kinds of things, so it wasn’t surprising when his suggestion that a conference rival get rid of its best player was met with squawks. Kobe Bryant going off for 38 points and then tweeting “Amnesty THAT” was just the beginning, though. The NBA is now looking into fining Cuban for his comments, according to The Los Angeles Times.
