The Los Angeles Lakers may have lost one of the best centers in the game this summer, but they also may have just gained better team chemistry as a byproduct of that.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Mike D’Antoni hinted that he expects to see his team have better chemistry next season thanks to the departure of Dwight Howard:
“We’ve definitely improved our shooting and I think the chemistry will be better just because the uncertainty has gone away,” D’Antoni said. “A lot of people will know their roles better and what’s going on on the floor better. Dealing with free agency day to day, we won’t have those problems.”
The “uncertainty” that D’Antoni mentions is obviously Howard; all year long, there were questions about whether he was happy with the Lakers, and nobody knew if he’d return to the purple and gold or if he’d bolt to another city. In the end, he ended up leaving, but D’Antoni anticipates that the team’s chemistry will be better thanks to the departur

Jordan Farmar and Nick Young have known each other since their days as standout L.A. high school basketball players – they were even enemies during their time at UCLA and USC – yet they’re now on the same side for a change.
We’ve already seen video of Young working out at the Lakers’ practice facility, and yesterday Farmar posted a photo of his new locker (which is right...

Kobe Bryant told everyone that he might post his first Vine video tonight. No it’s not of him twerking but its much scarier if you are a Lakers fan. You can see him below diving of a high board that has to be 40+ feet in the air. One thing is for sure though, Kobe is winning social media right now.
Most Laker fans can’t wait to see Nick Young finally play in a purple and gold uniform. Neither can Nick Young.
Swaggy P recently told Mark Medina that he’s been playing with the Lakers on NBA 2K13. It appears he’s tweaked the rosters so he’s playing for L.A. (maybe he traded Dwight Howard to Philadelphia?) and he’s apparently filling it up on a nightly basis, and he does...
When Dwight Howard bolted for Houston last month, at least one man with ties to the Los Angeles Lakers was happy.
Howard’s departure meant that Pau Gasol wouldn’t be traded or amnestied this summer, though that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll finish the 2013-14 season with the Lakers. According to ESPN Los Angeles’ Dave McMenamin, one NBA executive thinks that the...
Kobe Bryant is back on the court; the NBA 2K14 court, this is.
In this new clip from Ronnie2K’s Instagram page, we get to see Kobe and the Lakers take on the Phoenix Suns. Off the dribble, Kobe fakes a pass and then raises up above Eric Bledsoe for the jumpshot. Of course, Bryant makes the shot – the 2K series is the most realistic basketball game out there, after all.
Lamar Odom may be used to the “reality star” lifestyle by now, but this is definitely more than he bargained for.
Odom’s name is everywhere right now, and all sorts of rumors are flying around. Because of this, his friends are worried about him: the likes of Magic Johnson, Phil Jackson and Pau Gasol have all tweeted about their concern for Lamar, yet Lakers’ management may...
These days, it seems that almost everyone is shooting their own short videos on either Vine/Instagram and it appears that Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is considering joining the club.
Yesterday, Kobe sent out this tweet telling his nation of fans that he might join Vine:
I think I may open up a vine #vinovine

As you might figure...
The Los Angeles Lakers are so concerned about Lamar Odom’s well being they reportedly have offered him a roster spot if he goes to rehab to beat his drug problem. Radar Online says Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak made the offer to Odom because “the organization and the Buss family are extremely concerned about” Odom. The […]
There are two people that the current Los Angeles Lakers regime will never stop talking about and neither of them is Kobe Bryant.
Those semi-unfortunate objects of the Lakers malcontent and affection are former center Dwight Howard and ex-coach Phil Jackson.
It seems that there is indeed a thin line between love and hate. Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni continues to allow the public...
Kobe Bryant makes first Vine post by jumping off a high dive from 40 feet, straight Mamba styles. I would have gone reverse gainer, but I don’t have a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Welcome to Vine Kobe Bryant-.TOKobe Bryant’s Latest Nike ShoeKobe Bryant Fan Friendly in San Fran
Pau Gasol to represent Madrid in its bid to host the 2020 Olympics.
The 2013-2014 rookie class was interviewed at the Rookie Transition Program on a variety of subjects including who their favorite player is. It appears the age of Kobe Bryant continues and that LeBron James has not yet become the icon of a generation. After James won in 2012 the Black Mamba made a comeback this year.

It’s not often that we get to post about Dwight Howard throwing ping pong balls in an Instagram video but that’s exactly what this post is about.
Recently, D-12 met 2008/2012 Olympic gold medalist Wu Jingyu and created a unique Instagram video with the Taekwondo master.
Watch as she does her best to dodge ping pong balls throw at her by Mr. Howard:

That is Heat guard and NBA champion Mike Miller showing off some of his Zumba skills in an ad for the popular workout trend. Looks like Miller is having some fun staying in shape this off-season, or perhaps he is the new spokesman for Zumba. Hopefully it catches on with some other NBA ballers, because Dwight Howard in a dance class would be hilarious.
The official full-length trailer for NBA 2K14 has hit the web today and it features a fitting soundtrack, ”Hate Me Now” by Nas, for the game’s cover athlete, LeBron James. The trailer also features some new animations and old faces in new places – including a first look at digital Dwight Howard in Houston, Al Jefferson in Charlotte, and Kevin Garnett in Brooklyn.
