Add San Antonio Spurs' Da'Sean Butler to the list of Spurs players who have made the jump overseas to play during the NBA lockout.

According to his agent, Chet Ervin, Butler has agreed to play in Europe for the duration of the lockout but did not name the specific European team.

However, according nra.lv, Butler has signed with Latvian squad VEF Riga. Also, it seems he is eager to get to Latvia as he said recently on Twitter.

Translation: "I cannot wait to get to Latvia."

If any player on the Spurs' roster who should get time on the court during the lockout and play organized basketball is Butler. He has battled back from his devastating knee injury he suffered during college and to get time on the court will do wonders for him to get in game-shape, to test his rehabbed knee and for his confidence. Not to mention generate some income during the lockout.

As mentioned before Butler joins an ever-growing list of Spurs player who made the jump to Europe. Chris Quinn, Danny Green, DeJuan Blair (who is now back in the U.S.), Steve Novak and Tiago Splitter all have made the move while Manu Ginobili said he would wait until this month to make a decision on his immediate basketball-playing future and Matt Bonner did say he would consider making the move.
