Found November 30, 2012 on Pacers Pulse:
Seriously, is there any lingering doubt that David West is the Indiana Pacers' best player (even when Danny Granger returns)? All the 32-year-old veteran has been doing this season is carry this struggling team on his back to big wins like he did tonight against the Sacramento Kings, pouring in a season-high 31 points, grabbing 11 boards while shooting 65% from the field. The Pacers won, by the way, 97-92, pulling them to 0.500 (8-8) for the first time in what feels like forever. The sad part is that West isn't supposed to be the MAN here. Having signed that max contract, Roy Hibbert is/was supposed to fill that role, but so far all he has shown is that he didn't deserve even half of the money he'll be getting. Not to say Roy hasn't tried, because it's clear he's doing the best he can, but I think he and everyone else thought he could just come back and dominate this season without having put in the extra work to develop his game (not just his con...

Pacers, West stick to game plan, beat Kings

SACRAMENTO -- Indiana's David West scored a season-high 31 points and, combined with a solid defensive effort, helped to give the Pacers a 97-92 victory over the Sacramento Kings before an announced crowd of 12,544 at Sleep Train Arena on Friday night. The Pacers (8-8) are half way through their four-game road trip entering a game tonight at Golden State. Pacers coach Frank...

Pacers 97, Kings 92

David West had 31 points and 11 rebounds to help the Indiana Pacers edge the Sacramento Kings 97-92 on Friday night. West was 13 for 20 from the field and 5 for 7 at the line in his season-best scoring performance. He is averaging 23 points over the last five games, four of them Indiana victories. George Hill had 25 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Pacers, and reserve...

Pacers-Warriors Preview

David West and David Lee each are coming off season-best scoring performances, helping their respective teams continue their recent surges. West looks to help the Indiana Pacers complete a perfect three-game swing through California against Lee and the Golden State Warriors as each squad seeks a fifth victory in six games Saturday night. The Pacers (8-8) began a four-game road...

Pacers fall against Golden State, that is all

Not much to say. Golden State were just better. 102-93, but Pacers never really challenged in the fourth quarter. Fall to 8-9 overall and 2-1 on current 4-game road trip. Chicago coming up next. Observations: - David West still beast (23, 8, 4 on 10-16 shooting). Needs to teach Tyler Hansbrough how to start hitting midrange jumpers again. Psycho T was 0-5 and didn'...

Pacers-Kings Preview

Still trying to find their way without All-Star Danny Granger, the Indiana Pacers appear to have taken a big step forward. The Pacers look to keep their momentum going Friday night when they try to sweep the season series with the Sacramento Kings for the first time since 2008-09. After fighting through a slow start without Granger, who is targeting a February return from a left...

Bird’s Rookie Year – Game 22 vs. the Pacers

Celtics (17-4) vs. Pacers (11-15) Saturday, December 1 Market Square Arena Regardless of a pedestrian record, playing the Pacers in Market Square Arena was a tough spot for the Celtics to win.  Unlike their date in October, Larry Bird made sure this homecoming to Indiana ended on a more successful note.  The Celtics defeated Indiana in overtime, 106-102, to win their sixth straight...
