When Ed Davis played his first game as a Toronto Raptor back on December 1, the rookie relied on adrenaline to score 11 points and snag six rebounds in 24 minutes of burn. Even though he shot an impressive 5-7 from the field in the game it was clear his offense was a work in progress as most of those field goals came off putbacks or easy looks in the paint. Two and a half months later, he’s now scored in double-figures for four consecutive games and is leading all NBA rookies with a field goal percentage of 59.9%. He’s also on pace to surpass Matt Bonner (53.3%) for the highest field goal precentage from a Raptors rookie.
