Up in Smoke
Baron Davis is back ladies and gents. He is back right in time to start making headlines in New York, you know because they don’t have enough to cover with the Knicks current backcourt.
Well, in his triumph return Davis decided to pantomime smoking a J after hitting a 3-pointer against the Nets on Monday night. Who doesn’t celebrate hitting a J by hitting a J?
Of course Davis has attempted to ‘clear the air’ through twitter: “To clear up rumors, I was kissing my hands after the shot the 3 last night. Kissing the 3 was all I was doing. Stop fishing and hating plz.”
I have seen a lot of ways to blow kisses, just never one where it looks like I’m taking a hit off a roach. Oh nevermind guys, NBA players don’t smoke weed.

Here’s Baron Davis demonstrating his ‘One Toke Over The Line’ celebration (pic)
Of course, in basketball — as it is in life — one toke over the line is far preferable to one foot over the line. Well, maybe that’s just in basketball. And only on made three-pointers and free throw attempts. Huh. I suppose instead of trying to turn the above image into some kind of [...]

The Starting Lineup: Baron Davis Makes Season Debut. You Would’ve Cared Three Weeks Ago.
One game into his stint, Baron Davis has already set a Knicks record: His #85 is the highest ever to be worn by a New York Knickerbocker. First-ballot HOFer. Seriously, though, I thought Baron looked alright last night. I don’t even know what his stats were–I recall a three-pointer and some poor defense on Deron Williams–but none of that even matters yet. ...

The New York Knicks: an immensely watchable experiment
It may have started with Linsanity. The “drama” of Melo’s return added intrigue. J.R. Smith’s arrival and Baron Davis’s return contribute more layers. But it’s no longer just about Lin, although he’s at the heart of it all. The bottom line is this: the 2011-12 New York Knicks have become an incredibly interesting experiment from which it...

Baron provides little relief for Knicks, Lin
As bad as Jeremy Lin was against the Heat Thursday night, he wasn’t even the worst Knicks point guard on the floor. Lin’s backup, Baron Davis, gave the Knicks next to nothing in his 14 minutes. Davis missed all seven of his shots, including four 3-pointers.
