The Wizards let reporters in for the final half hour of practice, which provided us with a good chance to see the players go at each other in scrimmages. And trust me, they went at each other. The moment we walked through the doors, Antawn Jamison had taken the opening tip toward the basket for an uncontested layup when Andray Blatche came charging to contest the shot -- and knocked Jamison to the floor, as both players crashed near the basket support. The most entertaining aspect of the scrimmages was that Coach Flip Saunders let his assistants coach the teams. Sam Cassell led the black team, which included Blatche, Gilbert Arenas, Nick Young, Brendan Haywood, Dominic McGuire and Javaris Crittenton (they were the only team with a reserve).
