Found December 03, 2012 on Project Spurs:
Well, that was quick. The San Antonio Spurs announced yesterday that they had reassigned Nando De Colo to the D-League Austin Toros, but it was a short-lived trip. De Colo and the Toros beat the Idaho Stampede 97-82 last night in Austin. De Colo played 38 minutes and had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Today, De Colo is being recalled back to the Spurs. After a very impressive showing in what’s now infamously known as the “Restgate game” against the Miami Heat where he had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes, De Colo looked like he could be a big contributor to the Spurs going forward. It’s possible the team just wanted to get him a little more experience or work on a specific aspect of his game in Austin. De Colo is averaging 10.4 minutes per game for the Spurs on the season, but if he keeps improving, that number should go up. The Spurs don’t play again until Wednesday, so we’ll have to wait a couple of days to see if De Colo’s role on the team changes after his brief stint with the Toros.

Tim Duncan and Tony Parker point fake guns at fake Joey Crawford

Tim Duncan has always been thought of as one of the NBA’s genuinely good guys.  He’s been a model citizen in comparison to some of his NBA comrades.  That’s why this picture (as posted on Reddit), taken from a Halloween party this October, is rather shocking.  Duncan posed with teammate Tony Parker with toy guns pointed at someone dresses as NBA referee Joey Crawford. Duncan’s...

Following a controversial $250,000 fine for sitting out their starters vs. Miami, the Spurs put themselves in the hot seat again. A photo of Tony Parker and Tim Duncan using fake guns on a fellow party-goer dressed as referee, Joey Crawford, at a Halloween party this October was leaked at what was definitely a bad time. Though the NBA and the Spurs have no comment regarding the racy...

Grizz's Conley Talks Parker

Ever since the San Antonio Spurs were embarrassed by the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the 2011 NBA playoffs, the Spurs have been on a mission against the Grizzlies. Especially Spurs point guard Tony Parker. He's responded with tough play ever since TV analysts raved about Mike Conley out "Tony Parkering" Tony Parker in the playoffs a few seasons ago...

Bucks try to break out versus ailing Spurs

Resting key players last week led to a hefty fine for the San Antonio Spurs. This time, they're not likely to draw that kind of attention from the commissioner. Injuries may cause the Spurs to be without as many as four players as they go for a seventh win in eight tries Wednesday night against the sputtering Milwaukee Bucks. Coach Gregg Popovich and the Spurs (14-4) drew...

Pop praises Duncan

The San Antonio Spurs’ game against the Grizzlies on Saturday was a matchup of two of the top teams in the Western Conference. I do believe in the old saying that you don’t win championships in December, but this was a big game. Winning a hard fought battle in overtime, especially after being down by 13 going into the fourth quarter is going to give the Spurs a lot of confidence...

Early look at potential Spurs draft targets

The college basketball season is about a month old, enough time to for draft geeks like me to start looking ahead to June's NBA Draft.  The NBA Draft has always been less fun as a Spurs fan since they've always drafted at or near the end of the first round.  Through the middle part of the last decade the Spurs either traded their draft picks or draft and stashed someone...
