Found October 02, 2012 on Project Spurs:
Nando De Colo comes into this year’s San Antonio Spurs season with a great deal of expectations on his shoulders. Even though the team is stacked at the guard position, he’s going to be expected to contribute right away because Spurs fans have been waiting to see what he can do since he was drafted back in 2009. No doubt Coach Popovich will ride the hot hand at the guard spot. De Colo will be competing with Manu Ginobili, Danny Green and Gary Neal at shooting guard and since he can play a little at the point as well, he’ll be backing up Tony Parker and Patty Mills. De Colo seems to be ready for the challenge and excited for his first opportunity in the NBA. “I am delighted to be here in San Antonio and could start the season with this team,” said de Colo. “It's a new experience for me, with many goals. I'll wait to see what the coach wants from me and I will train hard to earn my place. Yes, the truth is that there are many players in both positions, but...

Like a broken record, the same question pops up before every new San Antonio Spurs season - is their window for a title closed? Yet time and time again, the Spurs prove they still got what it takes to not only have a successful regular season but also go deep in the playoffs like last season's run to the Western Conference Finals. TNT's Kenny Smith was asked this same...

Video: Popovich likes the team mix of youth and veterans

For many seasons, the San Antonio Spurs were known for being an old team. However, that was then, this is now. Players such as Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard, Cory Joseph, and DeJuan Blair help add a nice mixture of youth to go along with the Spurs aged veterans...

Nowitzki, Duncan prove loyalty is not dead

Two 7-point pillars, in every sense of the word, reside at the opposite ends of Texas. One anchors the south, while the other takes up shop north. Their differences are as stark as San Antonio and Dallas. Neither city is confused with the other. Just ask the residents. But for all that's different in the two towns either real or imagined remember both are in the Lone Star...

A few interesting things happened at Spurs media day Monday.  Eddy Curry turned up in a San Antonio Spurs uniform, DeJuan Blair blew off WOAI's Don Harris, and Tim Duncan admitted Stephen Jackson's rap albums and Tony Parker's bar fight add to the Spurs' street cred.  But to me, the most interesting quote came from guard Manu Ginobili, who admitted the end was...

Video: ESPN's Smith, Bayless discuss fines for flopping

Flopping can be an effective tool and annoying at the same time. If your favorite player on your favorite team does it and draws the call, you love it. If it's done against your favorite team, it is aggravating. And for many seasons, San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili has mastered the art of the flop.
