PLAYERS: Delonte West
TEAMS: Dallas Mavericks
West-lebron
Delonte West has been the center of attention the last few days. First he grabbed headlines when he said he was banned from visiting the White House along with his Mavericks teammates. Later that evening he went on an extensive Twitter rant where he said he didn’t want to be the media’s sideshow. West says he regrets his comments and the negative attention he’s received. He’d like the focus to be on basketball. He also explained the timing of his rant. “In the past, I wasn’t able to attend,” he said. “So I made statements before we got the official clearance for me. Obviously, I got upset. I got a phone call after a few hours, and they said I get to go. I wasn’t throwing anybody under the bus.” Even though West received clearance for the visit, he elected not to attend because he didn’t want to become more of a distraction than he already was. You get the feeling that if he had just played cool all along, nothing bad would have happened. But that’s not Delonte’s way, is it?

Why is Delonte West so upset with Brian Windhorst?

Nobody seems to know what the Dallas reporter said to Delonte West that triggered the former Cavalier’s twitter rant of last Saturday, and nobody knows what former Plain Dealer Cavs beat writer Brian Windhorst did to draw West’s specific ire therein Not one of the tweets at issue, but still a good one. Larry Brown Sports has the details here, including a response from Windhorst...

Video: Bearded Fans Drink Beer on the Dallas Mavericks’ Bench

There was an amazing sight in Detroit last night, with two bearded fans sipped on their beers while seated between Vince Carter and Delonte West during the Mavericks/Pistons game. Larry Brown Sports reports on who these two jokers are: “It turns out the fans in question are Aaron Cohen, a fashion designer who runs a clothing company called Revive, and a guy who goes by Chris...

Fans Grab A Seat On The Mavs Bench

I don't know how these guys did it, or how they lasted so long, but these two guys in Detroit managed to park themselves between Delonte West and Vince Carter on the Dallas Mavericks' bench. You know, considering the Palace's history with fans and players, you'd think there'd be slightly better security separating them from the bench. It's a hilarious...

Are These Drunks Mark Cuban’s Replacements?

On Tuesday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills,  the Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks played a lopsided basketball game while two drunkin’ gentlemen were sitting right between the Mavericks Delonte West and Vince Carter drinking beer. So, what do we know?

LOL. Oh, you were serious? Really? Lakers, Thunder, Hawks and Bulls have played 12 games, while the Clippers have only played eight, over an 18-day span. And we’re supposed to have an idea of what’s going on? Kobe Bryant is leading the league in scoring, at 30.3 per game. He hasn’t scored at that clip (or led the league) since 2006-07, when he averaged 31.6. Only four players...
