In his first two years in the NBA, DeMarcus Cousins has been a bit of a mystery. There’s no arguing his talent and his productivity. The former Kentucky big man shows glimpses of being able to be absolutely dominant, but then there are times where he looks completely checked out.
The 22-year-old center is a powerful player. He is stronger than most post players, and can usually bully his way to the rim, which helps make him such a strong rebounder.
If you have any doubts regarding the power of DeMarcus Cousins, just ask Jason Maxiell. Watch the video below to see what we’re talking about.
If DeMarcus Cousins is coming at the rim like that, I’m getting out of the way. Props to you, Jason Maxiell. Give him credit for trying to block the dunk, though.
Early in the season, Cousins is averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.
