DENVER, March 22 – JaVale McGee scored in the last 5 seconds of the game last night, pushing the Denver Nuggets 116-115 over Detroit.

The Nuggets led by as many as 25 points in the second period, but then had to stage a late comeback to close out their nine-game homecourt series with a win.

It’s not like Detroit came up weak in any area and this game felt like at one point that it was going to be theirs.

The Pistons’ Ben Gorden’s 45 point effort was injected with an amazing 9-9 3-point percentage.
