“In practice, you’re trying to get it as close to a game-like condition as you can, with the understanding that there’s nothing like a game. There’s nothing that matches that intensity. We strive to get it there, but it’s different, so you have to make sure that he can handle this intensity first and then, we’ll go from there.”
A person with knowledge of the situation told CSNChicago.com that Rose has been taking on more contact since approximately last week, but in one-on-one sessions and with Bulls staffers, not players, making Tuesday a relatively significant step in the process.
“He’s going against his teammates,” Thibodeau said. “The challenge is where you are in your schedule, but we’ll figure it out.”
