Around this time of the year, when the trade deadline is fast approaching, it is very interesting how so many writers have or rush to have their own opinions as to who will be traded where and how. It is like a rat race, with media men trying extremely hard to become the first to come across information. By so doing, some have desperately created information (speculation) and presented the public with wrong information.
So much has gone under the bridge until this time and in fact, it is actually beginning to get under my skin. Well, now understand Kobe Bryant frustrations when Pau Gasol’s rumor was on every media person’s table, which to him lashing out at Lakers management for not saying anything.
Throughout all this trade confusion, it is quiet fascinating how some names just appear, disappear and then all of a sudden they are in the news again. I am sure we all remember Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics.
Now there is another one, quiet a funny one really; they talk of the swap of Smith and Rondo. These two would actually be very happy together instead of being allowed to be traded with each other. They have been inseparable since their time at the Oak Hill Academy.
If there is one player who’s had enough of all this trade talks, it is definitely Derrick Rose. Left to him alone things will remain the way they are because he is happy the way things are with his teammates at the Chicago Bulls.
“It definitely is getting old,” Rose said. “I’m sick and tired of hearing it. Chicago, marketing-wise is a great city. If someone chooses to come here, they definitely could.
“But I’m cool with the teammates I have. We have a winning record. It ain’t like we need to change anything. It’s not up to me. It’s up to the front office.”
There are zero indications Howard will add the Bulls to his list of teams with which he would sign an extension or that the Bulls are pursuing him.
“If it’s not about the Bulls, I really couldn’t care less about it,” said Rose.
BEST OF MAXIM
Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls need to strengthen their roster in order to be true NBA Championship contenders. Rose is going to kill himself trying to drag this team to relevancy. How they get better? I don’t really know. Maybe they trade some pieces or use a midlevel exception? Perhaps they could kidnap someone that can hit a jump shot. I think they should send Carlos Boozer...
MILWAUKEE -- For Derrick Rose, it was the type of shot he dreamed about making as a kid growing up on the south side of Chicago. As Joakim Noah watched in awe, he felt like he was watching the final scene of a dramatic sports film. It was that type of defining moment. With the Bulls and Bucks tied at 104 in Milwaukee, the ball was in Rose's hands as he stared across at Brandon...
Moments like these are why I love this game: Rose’s jumper lifted the Bulls to a 106-104 victory over Milwaukee and gave Chicago a 2-game lead over the Heat for the best record in the Eastern Conference. The reigning MVP also finished the game with 30 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds. Simply on of [...]
Last night was a great night for buzzer beaters in the NBA. The most notable was reigning MVP Derrick Rose's step back jumper to lead the Chicago Bulls to a victory at the Milwaukee Bucks. Rose got the ball with 18.1 seconds left and the game tied at 104 and nailed the game winner over Brandon Jennings.
In looking at buzzer beaters, it's always fun to see both sides...
Derrick Rose has done it again. Last night the Bulls played the Bucks and it came down to the last second. Obviously the Bulls put the basketball in the MVP's hands and let him go to work. Rose didn't let them down and hit a game winner over Brandon Jennings at the buzzer. The kid has been on fire ever since coming back from his back injury and is making a strong...
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Derrick Rose drilled a long jumper at the buzzer, powering the Chicago Bulls to a 106-104 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
Holding the ball for the last shot in a tie game, Rose pulled up just inside the 3-point line and hit it just as time expired. Rose was mobbed by his teammates near halfcourt, and cheered wildly by a predominantly pro-Bulls...
What an exciting night last night in the NBA. There was game winning shot after game winning shot . Below I will breakdown and show video of all the game winning shots last night in the NBA.
1. Derrick Rose- Everyone in the gym knew Derrick Rose was going to take the last shot of the game in the final seconds against the Milwaukee Bucks. Rose was 1 on 1 with Brandon...
The Orlando Magic have a difficult upcoming schedule as they prepare to make a decision on superstar center Dwight Howard.
That challenging stretch of games begins on the road Thursday night against Derrick Rose and the league-best Chicago Bulls.
The next seven days figure to be interesting ones for Orlando, which takes on Chicago (33-8), Indiana, Miami and San Antonio over the...
For the first quarter, Bulls fans had to be salivating, and then dreaming. Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose. Same team. Imagine.
Howard was scoring all the points and getting all the rebounds. And Orlando was blowing out the Bulls.
Then Howard sat down for a rest, and who knows where his mind went. His dominance. His force. He produced massive numbers in the Magic's 99-94 win...
Derrick Rose had 24 points and 13 assists, Carlos Boozer scored 27 and the Chicago Bulls pounded the Utah Jazz 111-97 on Saturday night.
Kyle Korver scored a season-high 26 points, and the Bulls got back to winning after their season-high eight-game streak ended with a loss to Orlando on Thursday. They turned a seven-point halftime lead into a 16-point advantage going into the fourth...
Tonight in South Philly, my Sixers played the Celtics. In what had to be considered Big Green's chance to tighten the Atlantic Division race, show there's fire left in the belly, prove to the upstart young'uns who had faltered before the break and lost close games to the Bulls and Bucks that, well, this wasn't going to be their division. Boston had won five in a row...
