After Thursday’s Bulls practice session, coach Tom Thibodeau said Derrick Rose participated in the non-contact portion of practice. Previously he had only participated in what Thibodeau deemed ‘‘pre-practice’’ activity and individual shooting drills at the Berto Center in Deerfield. Thibodeau cautioned that Rose is still rehabbing from surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered during the first round of the NBA playoffs versus the Philadelphia 76ers. So it’s a long road back. Rose is becoming reintegrated into the team, getting back to normal. But can he cut on it? Nate Robinson Addresses The Possibility Of Being Waived By Bulls

Veteran Kirk Hinrich and rookie Marquis Teague have contracts that extend beyond the season. If the Bulls retained Robinson, the roster would include four players who primarily play point guard when Rose returns. “Right now I’m here doing everything they ask, and hopefully that’s good enough,” Robinson said. “If not, then I’ve got to work harder. Life’s not guaranteed...

Joakim Noah Defends Kirk Hinrich’s Struggles

Despite shooting a combined 2-for-10 for 2 points and 6 combined assists over the last 2 games, Joakim Noah and the Bulls will not let his woes turn into some controversy. “The controversy is, there is even a controversy,” Noah said.  ”No one is expecting Kirk to be Derrick.  What he brings is a component that is very different, and we need that. He locks up [on defense]...
