Chicago Bulls Basketball – There has been a lot of speculation on the future about the Chicago Bulls lately, but one thing seems to be missing…Derrick Rose. It’s not too say that people aren’t mentioning his name within all the rumors/talks going around, but the excitement sure doesn’t seem to be there. Remember when Derrick Rose was drafted in 2008? He took Chicago by storm and gave great hope to the city, especially with that seven-game playoff series against the Celtics in his rookie season. Well this is that same man people, the Rookie of the Year, the former MVP, Poohdini, the South Side Chicago product.
“With the first pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls select Derrick Rose from the University of Memphis.”
Derrick Rose is a loyal Chicagoan who no doubt wants to bring the City of Chicago a championship. He has the fire and talent to do so and that should not be lost in the midst of these unfortunate injuries.
“We got to win. Win no matter what. Trip, kick somebody, fight, bite. Whatever. Win.”
This isn’t someone who will abandon ship like LeBron James in search of an NBA championship, but rather a guy who will do what it takes for his team, his city, and that’s what Bulls fan need to remember. This is DRose, who when gets announced at every home game, gives us those same types of goosebumps we had for Michael Jordan.
The Return of Derrick Rose
I have no doubt there are exciting changes ahead for the Chicago Bulls and we should not only want DRose to be part of those plans, but be excited about him leading the way. The Bulls certainly do need to bring in another scorer or two to help shoulder the load and dare we say if Derrick gets hurt again, keep the season from being ‘lost’. But, let’s start with him while looking for the few missing pieces of that championship team (Kevin Love in 2015 would be nice). Only the Bulls front office knows what the next move for Chicago is and we have to wonder if that will happen this year or next.
Sure, some people are hesitant and quick to label DRose now as injury prone but things can change, and let’s hope they do. Maybe a summer with Adrian Peterson can help? Let’s chalk this up to a little bad luck and get ready for the return of the return. There was lots of hype going into the season and no reason why that can’t continue. Stranger things have happened and will he come back if the Bulls make the playoffs this season, who knows, but that would be awesome. If not and this season ends like last year with a second round exit or do the Bulls do make a bold move, all we can do is wait.
One thing we should know is that Derrick Rose needs the city behind him because my gut feeling says he isn’t done leaving his mark on Chicago and I am not alone in thinking this. Scottie Pippen was recently quoted saying,
“That’s our belief as a team,” Pippen said, when asked if Rose could lead the team to a title during a press conference. “Derrick is a very hard working player, he ‘s very determined. He’s a serious player, and he wants to win.
“There’s no doubt in our mind that Derrick Rose will win a championship as a Chicago Bull.”
After a pause, possibly for dramatic effect, Pippen added that he may have to personally make sure his prediction comes true.
“I might have to come back and help him,” the 48-year old said with a smile.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Lakers, Wizards and Bobcats are interested in Bulls forward, Taj Gibson.
According to a source, the Lakers, Wizards and Bobcats have each inquired about Gibson, but they were preliminary talks in which the Bulls did not like the return.
If they do move Gibson, however, it will definitely signify how determined the Bulls are to...
Chicago Bulls Basketball - Will the Chicago Bulls look to trade Kirk Hinrich?
Point Guard is one of the most important positions on the floor, and this is magnified when it comes to the playoffs. Many playoff teams are going to be looking to bolster their backcourt for the playoffs, and have an emergency point guard on their roster.

Hinrich’s name has been...
If you are like me, you often wonder about the origins of how certain things are created. This curiosity had me thinking about the Chicago Bulls logo.
How was the logo thought of? Who created the famous Chicago Bulls logo that has been seen all around the world because of the popularity of the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan?
Chicago Bulls in the Beginning…
The Chicago Bulls will not re-sign Cartier Martin, a league source told RealGM's Shams Charania.
Martin's second 10-day contract with the Bulls expired on Wednesday.
Martin had played limited minutes with the Bulls for most of his stay. Tom Thibodeau supported signing Martin for the remainder of the season.
The Bulls have shown heart in their wins this year, and now they’ve shown tongue. Watch this hysterical gif as the Chicago Bulls Joakim Noah’s tongue distracts Spurs C Tim Duncan as he attempts a free throw.
This gives a new meaning to “doing anything to win.” I’ve seen many subtle distraction methods, but nothing quite this obscene and obvious. Hey, whatever works. Bulls...
The Chicago Bulls are having a pretty average season. Owner Jerry Reinsdorf said the team was mediocre in a recent interview with WGN in Chicago as well. Just don’t tell Head Coach Tom Thibodeau that. From Nick Friedell:
“Jerry owns the team so he’s entitled to say whatever he wants,” Thibodeau said Wednesday. “If that’s the way he feels … and the way I feel about...
Chicago Bulls Announce Joakim Noah All-Star Selection Early
Apparently, the Chicago Bulls were so excited that Joakim Noah made the Eastern Conference All-Star team, that they couldn’t help themselves and posted a video congratulating Noah on Tuesday on their YouTube page.
The problem is that the NBA isn’t announcing the All-Star reserve selections until Thursday night on...
Thursday night at 7 p.m., the NBA will unveil the rest of the NBA All-Star teams as the Inside the NBA crew announce the reserves for next month's exhibition game. Coaches vote on the best remaining players from their respective conferences.
The debate will be endless and we will name our reserves before TNT makes their announcement.
The Chicago Bulls may have jumped...
Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah will be making his second straight All-Star appearance after the announcement was recently made by TNT:
Joakim Noah makes All-Star team. Pretty big deal in such a weird season for the #Bulls.

Even though the All-Star reserves are supposed to be kept a secret until the official announcement on Thursday, somebody in the Bulls organization accidentally posted a video congratulating Joakim Noah on being selected. The video was quickly deleted but not before it was snagged by Beyond The Buzzer.
Congratulations to Joakim Noah. He is one of the main reasons that team is...
Chicago Bulls starting center Joakim Noah has made it to the 2014 All-Star game in New Orleans. This is the second straight year that Noah has made it to the All-Star game, last year he was accompanied by the now ex-Chicago Bull Luol Deng who is now with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Needless to say this year’s apparence is well deserved for Joakim , who is currently averaging 11.7...
Since trading Luol Deng, the Chicago Bulls are 8-4 and are hovering around the .500 mark for the first time since late November. The Bulls aren’t exactly surging, but they are winning. They’re doing it with players no one imagined would be in the rotation or even on the team.
Players like D.J. Augustin and Tony Snell have been a pleasant surprise but would they be getting the...
Jimmy Butler had 19 points and Carlos Boozer added 16 points and 12 rebounds and the Chicago Bulls handed the injury-riddled San Antonio Spurs their third straight loss, 96-86 on Wednesday night.
D.J. Augustin and Taj Gibson added 15 points each and Joakim Noah had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago.
Tony Parker had 20 points and Tim Duncan had 17 points and 12 rebounds for...

There’s a new name on the Lakers’ rumor mill: Taj Gibson.
According to a report by the Chicago Sun-Times, the Lakers have called the Chicago Bulls about the availability of the 28-year-old Gibson, though they stress that the talks were only preliminary.
According to a source, the Lakers, Wizards and Bobcats have each inquired about Gibson, but they were preliminary...
The Chicago Bulls wrapped up easily their best month of the season with a road win over a team missing many key players. They'll try to get off to a strong start in February by doing the same.
The New Orleans Pelicans, though, could be welcoming back Anthony Davis on Saturday night against Chicago, and they didn't even need him to beat the Bulls in a thriller in the teams...
