Donald Sloan could be the back-up PG for the Cleveland Cavaliers next season when training camp opens. Byron Scott has said that Dion Waiters will get some time spelling Kyrie Irving at the one, but after that there aren't too many options. There's been talk of the Cavs bringing in a veteran free agent point guard this off-season, but nothing's happened yet. Names like Johnny Flynn and Derek Fisher have been tossed around out there, but I'm not sure either guy is better than Donald Sloan right now. That, coupled with the Irving injury, has given Donald Sloan an extended opportunity to show the Cavs organization what he can do out here in Vegas. I caught up with D-Sloan this week and he talked about all that, as well as his initial impressions of playing with Cavs rookies Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller.

Acquiring Andrew Bynum Might be Cavaliers’ One Shot at Building a Title Contender

An actual young All-Star could be Kyrie Irving’s teammate for the future. There’s a story I remember from my childhood. It involves a man who is living in his house on the bank of a river. One day, a storm begins to build up strength and the rains begin to pour down. The newscaster on TV interrupts programming to warn those living on the river to evacuate because of the risk...

Zeller, Sloan Headline Cavs First Summer League Win

NBA Summer League games are fun to watch. NBA Summer League games can also be incredibly frustrating when you’re primarily watching guys who are only getting an authentic team jersey if they go to the Cavalier Team Shop like you or me and purchase one. Sometimes, these soon-to-be-forgotten names and faces get in the way of who you want to be the headliners. That seems to be some...
