Drew Eubanks reportedly tried to deescalate the situation before getting ‘punched’ by Isaiah Stewart which eventually led to ‘bloody gums and loose teeth’

Isaiah Stewart is already in a pickle with the situation surrounding his arrest. The basketball world did not know what actually transpired behind the scenes that led to the arrest. Now further details have come out stating that Stewart did continue to get into the altercation despite Drew Eubanks trying to de-escalate the situation.

TMZ Sports got their hands on the Phoenix Police Department incident report from that night. Their investigations revealed that Isaiah Stewart initiated the altercation. He started coming at Phoenix Suns center Drew Eubanks from the moment he got off the bus.

Stewart was referring to an incident that happened in their previous matchup. Even though Eubanks tried to calm the situation, Stewart came into his face and suggested they settle their issues in that spot, saying;

We can do this s*** right now.

After these words, Stewart landed a punch straight at Eubanks’ mouth. That punch caused Eubanks to suffer from bloody gums and his teeth felt loose. Police arrested Stewart for the incident and issued a citation.

Eubanks suggested that when they got off the bus, Stewart brought back their issues from the last game. Even though Eubanks tried to walk away from it, Stewart pursued the topic, leading to their confrontation in the tunnel. It seems Stewart lost control of himself as the interaction started to heat up.

If Stewart had complied with Drew Eubanks‘ de-escalation attempts, authorities would not have arrested him. Stewart was also suspended by the NBA for three games. He apologized to his Detroit Pistons teammates for his actions after returning from suspension.

Isaiah Stewart and his issues with anger management

This is not the first time Isaiah Stewart has had a problem managing his anger. The first onset of this problem was when he tried to go after LeBron James multiple times on the court. James’ stray elbow caught Stewart above his right eye, leading to excessive bleeding. Stewart lost control of his emotions and went through several staff to try and get his hands on James.

Then, last year, a scuffle occurred between him and Draymond Green after they exchanged constant pushes and shoves. Even though they did not land any blows, the incident led to both of them getting ejected. Stewart also has had scuffles with Blake Griffin, Patrick Beverley, and others in the past.

Even though Drew Eubanks requested the police to drop all charges against Stewart three days later, the label persists. Isaiah Stewart has more news about his fights rather than his play on the court. Eubanks’ bloody gums and loose teeth are evidence of that.
