Even if the NBA does not have a standing-team presence in Seattle, Kevin Durant is one former Sonic who has not forgotten where he comes from. On Sunday in Seattle, Durant put on a show and let fans know exactly where his heart is at while playing in the Jamal Crawford Summer Pro-AM. While area NBA stars such as Crawford, Spencer Hawes and Martell Webster help headline the annual event, Durant no doubt was the man to see. Dunk, after dunk, after dunk, after dunk… Durant finished with 63 points, and played all but 15 seconds in 51 minutes of game time, in what was his first time playing back in Seattle since the Sonics relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008. And although Crawford’s squad pulled out the 147-141 win (with Crawford going for 46 points), it was the warm words expressed to those in attendance that Durant -- who won NBA Rookie of the Year in 2007-08 as a member of the Sonics -- that scored a lot of points. "I just want to say I miss you guys," Durant told around 3,000 fans. "Thank you for the warm welcome. I can't wait to come back." This was not something that was just thrown together last second either. Durant reached out to Crawford to try and figure out a way to make an appearance and was dead-set on attending, even financing the trip himself by flying in on his own jet. It may be a while before the NBA actually returns to Seattle, but when it does you know Kevin Durant will have that game marked on his calendar.  [follow]
