Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard left public address announcer Lawrence Tanter hanging on an attempted fist bump before Tuesday night's NBA preseason game at the Staples Center.
Popout
To be fair, Howard appeared to be looking into the crowd and likely didn't see Tanter offering the fist pump, but it certainly made for an awkward moment. Hopefully, Howard can make it up to Tanter next time.

Dwight Howard was so happy to be traded from the Orlando Magic to the Los Angeles Lakers back in August that the situation called for some unprecedented celebrating. The 26-year-old was so overwhelmed with joy that he decided to try something he had never tried before in his life — alcohol. According to ESPNLosAngeles.com’s Dave McMenamin, Howard had never consumed an alcoholic...

Dwight Howard just made his Lakers debut much to the delight of the fans at Staples Center and (who I believe to be) revered Lakers public address announcer Lawrence Tanter. Watch as during the pregame introductions, Tanter attempts to give Howard a fist bump. Howard, to nobody's surprise, leaves Tanter hanging. Badly. The Lakers announcer tries his best to recover with...

Tweet Last Sunday in Dwight Howard’s Lakers preseason debut he was a victim of a monster put back slam by Sacramento Kings rookie Thomas Robinson. Thursday night D. Howard again got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, this time by Jason Thompson: Dwight better shake off that court rust sooner rather than later. Being on [...]

In the building Dwight Howard's exploits helped build it's hard to find even the smallest remnant of the former Orlando center these days.
The photographs, murals and other likenesses that once adorned virtually every other crevice inside the Magic's Amway Center have been scraped away, now just painful reminders of championship aspirations never realized.
After taking...

It hasn't really started up yet, but a question that is going to come up every now and then is whether Dwight Howard is going to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. He's played in one preseason game so far and looked pretty sharp for not having played basketball for six months. Assuming he's healthy, most fans and basketball writers will assume the Lakers are going...
