The Los Angeles Lakers had a team meeting last week where Kobe Bryant reportedly confronted Dwight Howard to ask if the big man did not like playing with him. The team lost its first game after the meeting, but they have won two in a row since then, including a victory over the defending Western Conference champion Thunder on Sunday. Howard must be in a good mood since then, because he now says he “loves” being confronted by Kobe.
“I love it,” Howard said Monday, per Mark Medina of the LA Daily News. “That’s something we needed. A lot of times we have a lot of guys come together and nobody wants to step on anybody’s toes or do anything against anybody else. We want to win. In order for us to win, we have to pull the best out of each other every night.”
Howard acknowledged that he and Kobe have “bumped heads” on the court. Howard says he is used to being the primary offensive option, but that he is finally adjusting to being lower in the team’s pecking order.

Midway through his 17th season, has Lakers All-Star Kobe Bryant reinvented himself as a point guard?

LOS ANGELES -- The Lakers won their third in a row, beating the New Orleans Hornets, 111-106. There's no arguing that this a much better Laker team than it was just six days ago, with Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash switching roles and Dwight Howard playing with a renewed enthusiasm. However, it also can't be argued that this team still has quite a ways to go in order to turn...
The Lakers played one of their better games as a team on Friday night against the Jazz, and it didn’t go unnoticed by their head coach Mike D’Antoni.

It's no secret I've been openly critical of the performance we've seen from the Los Angeles Lakers during the course of this season. Everything, from firing head coach Mike Brown five games into the season to hiring present coach Mike D'Antoni, has been in question from my perspective. A huge part of this is because I didn't (and still don't) think D'...
