Dwight Howard was poked by his left eye during the second quarter of the Lakers’ 122-103 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday. The Lakers center got a defensive rebound, and Nuggets guard Andre Miller scratched him by the eye as he was running by. Miller’s scratch opened up a cut by the corner of Howard’s eye that began bleeding. Howard went into the locker room to have it treated, and he returned to the game a few minutes later. The cut didn’t seem to bother Howard, who went for 28 points, 20 rebounds, and three steals in the win. He even channeled his inner Andrew Bynum at the end of the game by attempting a three-pointer, but his shot actually went in. Below you can see how the cut looked after the game. It was nasty and not too dissimilar from what a boxer typically looks like: Image via @cjzero
