Dwight Howard now admits that the trade mess he put the NBA and its fans through in the last few years was like going through hell.
But he still appears to be missing the point: It was hell for everyone else, Dwight, and no one really cares if it bothered you.
Howard, who has been busy expressing how happy he is to be with the Lakers after spending a couple of years trying to navigate an escape from the Orlando Magic, commented on the trade situation again this week.
"I had to go through last year to get to where I'm at today," he said, referencing a time when he was part of trade talks with the Nets and Lakers as the Magic tried to unload his contract at his request. "It's made me stronger and a better person for it. I had to go through the hell and the stormy forecast to come out to a place like this ... and I'm thankful for it."
Howard said that the problems he experienced came from trying to please other people. He originally ...

Top 5 Fantasy Basketball centers
Being 5’8 I vicariously live through every big man in the NBA. As an outstanding Center on the YMCA Green team I consistently had 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 fouls every game. My numbers were never fantasy worthy and probably the reason that I spend most of my time analyzing players now instead of making the effort to play. I am hoping that my son has an inkling of a chance, but...

Big Baby ready for starring role
Last year when Dwight Howard went down with a back injury, Glen Davis really stepped up in his absence. Davis’ numbers went up and he averaged 19 points a game in the Magic’s first round playoff loss to the Indiana Pacers. Kobe day-to-day as Lakers prep to open season
EL SEGUNDO, CA -- What would a Laker season be without some Kobe Bryant drama at some point?
This year it came a bit earlier than the team and its fans expected.
Content with his newly rebuilt team of Dwight Howard, Steve Nash and Antawn Jamison, Bryant seemed very happy throughout the preseason, averaging 20.4 points, 4.8 rebound and 3.4 assists in just 28 minutes per game. While...

Awards MVP: This award will probably come down to if voters are bored with voting Lebron. It could be a two horse race with Lebron and and Kevin Durant, although Chris Paul and Dwight Howard might have something to say about that.
