When I came across this story, the laughter that came out was so unexpected. Apparently when Dwight Howard got traded to the Lakers he didn’t just take the media by storm, he also took rookie Robert Sacre jersey number, #12. “Dwight [Howard] took my no. 12 that I was wearing in the Summer League,” the former Gonzaga star explained after the shoot. “I can’t argue with that. That’s what happens when you have seniority. I’m OK with all of this. I just want to get back on the court.” You can tell he had ill feelings towards the situation because he said “he took my no 12?. Thats not the worst part yet, during the NBA’s rookie photo week, the Laker organization didn’t even have the decency to make him feel apart of the team by giving him a number; they just gave him a blank jersey. He was the only rookie without a number. How sad is that? Sacre looks like a LA Laker step child. Check out other great articles at BlackSportsOnline.

Lakers coach Mike Brown almost tore his hamstring when the Dwight Howard trade was confirmed

Now that there is a little distance from the initial fever of the Dwight Howard trade, reactions are starting to pour in as to how parties felt when they found out that the trade was finally in the books. For good reason there was no one that went off as hard as Lakers coach Mike Brown did. “I got a little excited,” Brown told ESPN. “I tried to jump up and down, but my mind...

Former NBA Players Calls Out Dwight Howard

Former NBA player Charles Oakley was the definition of a tough player.  He was so tough that Michael Jordan trusted him to protect him from the rough style of basketball from the 1980′s.  These days, those types of players are hard to come by.  The league has become soft with all their rules to “speed up” the game.  Nowadays, players have the power to dictate the team they...

Jordan Hill Over Dwight Howard

That’s the plan for now at least. Although the Lakers have acquired D12, arguably the most dominant center in the league, he still won’t be able to play until his back is completely healed. “If I’m ready for opening night, then I’ll be there, but I’m not going to rush it. A back is very serious, so I want to take my time and make sure I get back 100 percent, because I...
