The best thing about this off season will be not having to hear about where Dwight Howard will end up after he signs… Yeah, about that. Seems as if Dwight has allegedly been telling “sources” that LA fans are ungrateful and unappreciative. Beyond that, he has no interest in playing for Mike D’Antoni. The Lakers can offer DH12 $30 million more than any other team. Which adds up to a five-year $118 million max contract.
According to a source, it’s this intensity, this inane desire to be the best, that Howard can’t live up to. In conversations with Howard, the big man reportedly called L.A. fans “the most unappreciative group of people ever,” going on to say that people in Los Angeles are “ungrateful.”
Dwight Howard is a baby. He did the same thing in Orlando. He’s super talented but Lakers fans won’t be crying the blues if he leaves either. The Lakers are a storied franchise and have ridden through down times before. I’m just ready to get on with it so we no longer are subjected to “Dwightmare; the free agency edition 2013″
Oh and about those billboards, the Lakers also can’t be complacent and rest on their laurels. They have to invest in more modern strategies as today’s athletes have evolved, so have their needs and requirements.
Only Phil Jackson can fix this!
Doc Rivers did a real good job selling the benefits of LA and planning for the Clippers in his introductory press conference this week.
