Golden State Warriors
It's a shame that so many media figures are devoting this much attention to the Dwight ordeal in Los Angeles, while several other notable, NBA landscape changing transactions were reported with very little interest. My feelings on the matter is this: Blasphemy. Basketball blasphemy.Do Dwight Howard's indecisions that led him to Houston morph the Western Conference power ladder? Yes, but Andre Iguodala's decision to sign with Golden State and Josh Smith's recent decision to head to Detroit are also league-impacting signings that should not be overlooked because they mean that Detroit and Golden State are back on the map (amongst other things). A few years ago neither one of them would've signed with these squads. Truth! In my opinion when all is said and done, the biggest free agent signing won't even be Dwight Howard's penmanship in Texas, it's going to be Iggy's in Oakland.Think about this: The Warriors are easily the most promising up and comin...

The Golden State Warriors are a team that prized free agents have avoided for most of the last two decades, nothing more than loveable losers with a faithful following and an ambiguous name on the NBA map.
Maybe no more.
Calling it ''a transformative moment for our franchise,'' general manager Bob Myers says Andre Iguodala's addition demonstrates that Golden...
The NBA has confirmed the three-team trade that will send swingman Andre Iguodala to the Golden State Warriors, guard Randy Foye to the Denver Nuggets and a trio of expiring contracts along with a package of draft picks to the Utah Jazz.
The trade announced Wednesday started when the Warriors reached a free agent agreement with Iguodala on a four-year, $48 million deal last week...
The Warriors’ free agency options were looking bleak based on the salary cap once the Andre Iguodala acquisition would go through, but Golden State has reportedly worked the phones once again to maneuver itself into a more flexible salary cap situation.
First, what they’re in the works of completing—a three-team deal involving the Nuggets for Iguodala, as first reported by...
The Golden State Warriors continue their assault on free agency today, signing Marreese Speights, Jermaine O’Neal, and Toney Douglas, to go along with their acquisition of Andre Iguodala. Pretty soon of course they’ll be able to challenge the Klingons for interstellar domination (amirite? no? wedding crashers joke too old?)
By the way, I was going to paste the heads of all...
The Denver Nuggets have inexplicably had a mediocre off-season, which reached its peak when Andre Iguodala decided to be lured to Golden State (for less money) and Denver was left empty-handed. Except they may get something back in return, after all, via Adrian Wojnarowski: The Golden State Warriors are in advanced discussions on a three-way, sign-and-trade scenario [...]The post...
The Warriors finally officially introduced their shiny new toy Andre Iguodala to the media on Thursday, nearly a week after their fan base collectively began hyperventilating at first news of his acquisition. He’s no doubt an upgrade to the Warriors’ core and headlines the new crop of players Bob Myers brought on board this week.
There’s just been one problem. Lots of fans...
A person with knowledge of the decision says the Denver Nuggets have agreed to separate sign-and-trade deals that will land them guard Randy Foye from the Utah Jazz and send swingman Andre Iguodala to the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors had planned to sign Iguodala to a four-year, $48 million deal as a free agent last week. Instead, the restructured deal will give Golden State...
The Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz are in advanced talks on a three-team sign-and-trade involving Andre Iguodala and Randy Foye.
The Warriors agreed to a four-year, $48 million deal with Iguodala last week and the Nuggets could send him there in a sign-and-trade to create a $12 million trade exception.
The Jazz would sign-and-trade Foye to the Nuggets on a three...
With the NBA's moratorium period over, the Golden State Warriors' agreement in principle has now been finalized, as the team has acquired veteran guard/forward Andre Iguodala in a sign-and-trade deal from the Denver Nuggets, and guard Kevin Murphy from the Utah Jazz as part of a three-team trade.
“Andre Iguodala was a free agent that we targeted from Day 1 and we are...
In a surprising move after letting go of their star forward, and their Hall of Fame coach, and their scoring champion last year, and their hotheaded 6th Man of the Year, the Nuggets have decided to actually acquire a human being to their organization. Restructuring the Andre Iguodala deal, Randy Foye is set to come over to Denver from the Jazz. He’ll sign a three-year contract...
The Denver Nuggets will get something back for Andre Iguodala after all.
The Nuggets have agreed to separate sign-and-trade deals that will land them guard Randy Foye from the Utah Jazz and send Iguodala to the Golden State Warriors, a person familiar with the decision said Monday.
The Warriors had planned to sign Iguodala to a four-year, $48 million deal as a free agent last week...
I was able to join Justin Hull on "The Home Stretch" to talk about the first week of the NBA's free agency period. We broke down why Dwight Howard signing with Houston was a wise move, Golden State making a mistake with adding Andre Iguodala and the Pistons making an interesting move adding Josh Smith.
