Dwyane Wade may have put his foot in his mouth on Thursday.  The Miami Heat superstar drew the ire of some on Thursday afternoon when he fired off a tweet complaining about New York City traffic. Anyone who's ever tried to drive in New York City may think that's pretty harmless and would probably agree. Of course, things are different when those complaints come just days after a hurricane did historical damage, ravaging the city up and down.  "3 hour traffic just to get into the NY city . . . #C’monMan," Wade tweeted, with the Heat trying to get into town to play the Knicks on Friday night at Madison Square Garden. Perhaps realizing how insensitive that may come off as, or more likely seeing the backlash such a comment created, Wade quickly backpedaled -- and deleted the tweet. He then followed up with this tweet. "2 be clear "Traffic tweet was meant 2 say"... We shouldn't B hre 2 play a basketball game when theirs so many families obviously still R affected by #Sandy" The Heat-Knicks game will mark the first marquee sporting event in New York since Hurricane Sandy struck. The Nets were supposed to open the Barclays Center in Brooklyn earlier in the week against the Knicks, but that game was postponed. The New York City Marathon is expected to be run as scheduled on Sunday, which is a point of contention for many, given the city's state, reeling after the unspeakable damage caused by the historic storm.
