Dwyane Wade may have put his foot in his mouth on Thursday.
The Miami Heat superstar drew the ire of some on Thursday afternoon when he fired off a tweet complaining about New York City traffic. Anyone who's ever tried to drive in New York City may think that's pretty harmless and would probably agree.
Of course, things are different when those complaints come just days after a hurricane did historical damage, ravaging the city up and down.
"3 hour traffic just to get into the NY city . . . #C’monMan," Wade tweeted, with the Heat trying to get into town to play the Knicks on Friday night at Madison Square Garden.
Perhaps realizing how insensitive that may come off as, or more likely seeing the backlash such a comment created, Wade quickly backpedaled -- and deleted the tweet.
He then followed up with this tweet.
"2 be clear "Traffic tweet was meant 2 say"... We shouldn't B hre 2 play a basketball game when theirs so many ...
