Once upon a time, Kobe Bryant entered the NBA as a rookie just like everyone else.In 1996, the Los Angeles Lakers selected him in the draft, and as you might expect, Bryant was on the receiving end of some hazing.Appearing on the TMZ Sports show, former NBA All-Star Cedric Ceballos shed some light on what kind of hazing went down."We'd make him chase balls into the stands of the huge arenas, or take bags off the plane in the freezing cold. Or we'd say, 'I need coffee from Starbucks and donuts from Krispy Kreme' -- and it'd be 2am in a town we just arrived in."Eddie Jones allegedly used to make Bryant bring him Gatorade before each and every game. And the Black Mamba never resisted because he "understood what it was all about."Ceballos said the current players weren't the only ones getting in on the action."Even the veterans who are retired ... James Worthy, Kareem, Wilt Chamberlain ... all those guys came down to give him a little bit of rookie hazing, knowing that he was going to be the great player he is."All in all, it doesn't sound like it was too bad for Bryant. Of course, Ceballos may not be painting the whole picture. Nevertheless, it just goes to show you that the "hazing" isn't so bad if you embrace it.
