Fab Melo/Donte Greene Trade Grades

If you said the Celtics and Nets trade was the last big trade for the Celtics, you were absolutely right. The point of this very small trade is yet to be found. But a trade is a trade, so here we go.
The Celtics traded away Fab Melo, a second year center, who won defensive player of the year in the Big East for Donté Green, who did not see a single minute with the Grizzlies last season. The Celtics may be trying to free up some salary cap because Greene has a non-guaranteed contract. But even if they were trying to get rid of him for money, it was only $1,282,980 a year for 2 years. That kind of money won’t get anybody the Celtics would want to help rebuild.
